Prof. Matthew A. Waller, is the Dean of the Sam M. Walton College of Business, Sam M. Walton Leadership Chair, and Professor of Supply Chain Management. Received the 2020 Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management.
Cheryl C. Capps
Senior Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer
Cheryl C. Capps was appointed senior vice president and chief supply chain officer in July 2020. Prior to this, Capps was senior vice president, Global Supply Chain. She is responsible for leading the Global Supply Management organization and providing executive leadership for the end-to-end global supply chain.
Since joining Corning in 2011, Capps has worked to develop talent and capabilities to transform the company’s global supply chain into a competitive advantage for Corning, enabling innovation, growth, and financial success. During the past 10 years, she has partnered with the businesses to launch transformational initiatives that have generated consistent value for Corning and has been instrumental in navigating significant supply chain and business challenges.
Capps has 39 years of diverse leadership experience in business general management, strategic planning, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, research, and development. Prior to Corning, Capps held senior manufacturing and supply chain roles with Bristol Myers Squibb, most recently as senior vice president, Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain, for the medical device division, where she had responsibility for global manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, customer service, and engineering. Earlier in her career, Capps graduated from GE’s Manufacturing Management Program in 1985 and held a broad set of assignments across GE, concluding in a series of senior level positions with GE Motors and Industrial Systems.
Capps holds an M.S. in engineering from Purdue University, as well as a B.S. in electrical engineering, and a B.A. in psychology from Rice University.
