Savio S. Chan is a pre-eminent expert on doing business in China and building loyalty with Chinese luxury consumers. He serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of US China Partners Inc., a privately held business development firm specializing in Market Entry, Strategic Sourcing and Marketing Development in China for U.S. companies. Mr. Chan facilitates local and cross-border joint ventures among leading Chinese multinationals as well as Fortune 1000 companies. He also advises brands and retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Vuitton, Brooks Brothers, Tourneau, Montblanc, Piaget and Roger Dubuis on strategies with China consumers and Asian American businesses.
Additionally, Mr. Chan has been an advisor to public and private international corporations and Chinese HNW families on their U.S. and China investments and expansion strategy. Among the others, he served as Chief China Advisor of Hudson’s Bay Company, a global iconic department store where he assists in forming their China strategies, identifying Chinese partners, designing the working relationships and implementing those strategies.
Mr. Chan is a frequent keynote speaker at various business and US-China conferences and forums including the Conference Board, Asia Society, China Institute, Luxury Marketing Council, Wharton China Business Forum, Columbia China Business Forum and UPenn China Forum. He serves on the Board of Advisors of Wharton China Business Forum. He also serves as Chairman of Ascend Charity Golf Outing since 2017.
Mr. Chan, who attended Baruch College with a major in International Marketing, has been featured in numerous industry and trade success profiles, including articles in The New York Times, Forbes, Chief Executive Magazine, Reuters, Yahoo Finance, INC. Magazine, Long Island Business News, and Newsday. He served as Vice Chairman of Luxury Marketing Council China and was the president of the Northeast Chapter of US Pan Asian Chamber of Commerce, the largest Pan Asian Chamber in the country for more than eight years. Long Island Business News named him “Top 100 Most Influential”. He was awarded 2009 CUNY (City University of New York) Asian American Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2012 He was named one of the 50 Top Business Leaders by Long Island Business News. He also serves as a member of National Committee on US-China Relations, a national Think Tank.
His book, “China Super Consumers – What One Billion Customers want and How to Sell it to them” was published by John Wiley & Sons in 2014. The book was selected by Air France Club China as one of the "Must-reads" books on China.
