Tim Brown is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Fortaleza and Somos22. Fortaleza is a global, institutional-quality, private community for the ‘leaders amongst leaders’ who represent the “pinch point” of daily decisions within a family office (members include professional managers and principals alike). Somos22 will host over 3,000 unique family offices in 2025 inside of events and dinner designed to be a safe place for families to network and develop relationships/friendships that last 5-generations out.
Tim is also the Founder of TTB and a Principal of MacArthur Strategic, a bespoke advisory firm to family offices across a variety of disciplines, including sell-side and buy-side/curation of Alternatives, and governance and consulting within a global network of single and multi-family offices.
Mr. Brown presently serves as a Consultant with Anschutz Investments/The Anschutz Corporation, with investments and operations in professional sports, concert promotion and entertainment (LA Kings, LA Galaxy, formerly the LA Lakers, AEG Worldwide, AEG Live), hospitality (Sea Island Resort, The Broadmoor Hotel, Xanterra), natural resources, ranching, telecommunications and cruise ships.
Mr. Brown is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (www.ypo.org) in the YPO Gold Dallas and YPO Miami Gold Chapters, serving as past Chapter Chair of the Rocky Mountain Chapter (2018-2019) and past board member of the M&A focused, YPO Deal Network (2017-2019) and past Learning Officer (2023-2025) to the 12,000+ person network. Additionally, Mr. Brown served as the Vice Chair and Chair (2020-2023) of the YPO Investing Network. Mr. Brown helped to Co-Found the YPO Chicago Booth School Seminar, a two-time “Best of the Best” award winning program and the YPO Investing Network Forums (65 groups globally). Mr. Brown is the author of two books, “Jumping into the Parade” (2014) and “Old School with New Tools” (2015). Mr. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University with a focus on political science.
